More proof that planes are getting smaller...

I am just under 5' 4".  When sitting on a plane, I have always been able to stand straight up.  Granted, I can feel the overhead compartment tickle my hair, but I have always been just short enough to stand.

In the past 6 months, I have bumped my head [loudly] on that gd thing because they are all many inches lower than they used to be.  Since I have stood up in my seat without a concern for most of my life, it will take I-don't-know-how-long to stop doing this unconsciously.  Perhaps I can eventually go on disability from all the concussions to be sustained.
